I recently ran a ‘study session’ for our members who are undergoing Victoria Police Academy training at the moment.
Covering areas such as:
- Handcuffing policy
- Basic operation
- Applying the cuffs
- Removing the cuffs
- Handcuffing apparently cooperative people
- Handcuffing uncooperative people
- Correct fit and adjustment
- Two up handcuffing
- Single operator cuffing
- etc
These were all addressed during the session.
Step one, get into the police academy, step two, pass all your assessments and get out!
