The Abstract Reasoning Test measures your ability to think clearly to solve problems and identify logical rules based on visual images and patterns rather than numbers and words.
This section of the entrance exam can be very daunting! Before we hit the panic button though, understand that you can develop your abstract reasoning ability.
In this course we’ll spend the time to explain the “rules” for answering abstract reasoning questions. Once you know what to look for the questions look less like a bowl of spaghetti! Instead, you’ll have a mental checklist you can use to eliminate possibilities until the correct rule shows itself. We also go through 50 examples together to help the lessons sink in.
The digital literacy test assesses 3 main areas of competency.
In this course we go into these areas in detail and provide example questions for each. Our digital literacy practice exams has randomly selected questions from each of the three sections to help you hone your skills.
In the extended writing section you’ll be presented with a ‘pros and cons’ article. You’ll need to write a response to the topic and express your point of view by producing a clear and logical written piece of content which you type into the space provided.
In our extended writing course we take you through how to set up your response using a step by step process. There are also practice topics in our exam database, each of which have a scoring checklist to assist you in fine tuning your extended writing practice articles.
The literacy skills component tests your ability to read a piece of content and comprehend the information and the content in which the information is being used.
In this part of our exam preparatory training we’ll take you through examples of the type of content you might be asked to comprehend and answer questions about, and, we have plenty of practice tests in our database.
The numeracy skills section of the Victoria Police Entrance Exam is the least popular for applicants. “I’m not very good at maths” is a common cry! Don’t worry, our numeracy skills video tutorial lessons are very comprehensive, and, we have heaps of practice tests for you to build skills and confidence.
You’ll be able to repeat the tutorial lessons as many times as you need, and, every practice test you take has detailed explanations in the results report.
Every topic inside the three sections of the Victoria Police Numerical Skills test is covered.
Don’t stress about the numeracy skills, this is one of our most comprehensive courses. Plenty of applicants felt they way you might be feeling, and passed their exam with flying colours.
The oral communications test assesses your ability to clearly and concisely articular information you have gained from watching a short video clip. You will need to answer questions, out loud and into a desk microphone, based on the content of the video.
Our oral communications course goes into great detail about the types of content and questions you might have to contend with, and, there are specific lessons in the course about how to properly structure your answers.
Like with all of our courses there are plenty of practice tests for you to work through.
The summary writing task can be surprisingly challenging. The objective is to write a concise set of notes summarising the main ideas and key supporting details in a passage of text or short article.
Like our other course, we’ll take you though a step by step process to make sure you’re clear about what you need to do and how to do it. There are also plenty of practice articles in our database for you to apply what you learn in the course.
Verbal reasoning is the ability to understand and reason concepts framed in words. It aims to test your ability to think logically, understand relationships between words and meanings, solve problems and think critically, rather than simply understanding vocabulary.
Our verbal reasoning course is very detailed and provides lessons for each component of the test. Working out analogy questions, synonyms, and finding the odd one out of a group, are all question types that are covered in our tutorial lessons and practice exams.
Each of our tutorial topics concludes with a mini quiz so you can check your progress to make sure you’re retaining the information.
You’ll also be able to take an unlimited amount of full practice exams with all of the same elements as the real exam. These exams are as close as you’ll get to the real deal!

Free months are based on being a member for the same period as the Monthly option.
As a member you’ll also get access to all the training courses, so regardless of which state you are applying for we’ve got you covered!
Yes. The month by month option is very flexible, but, there’s a trade off.
Yes, we also have 6-month and 12-month memberships.
No. The longer memberships are heavily discounted, so, the trade off is less flexibility. There is no option to pause or suspend memberships.
Good question! It really comes down to flexibility or discount. The month by month payment option has the flexibility to cancel any time, whereas the 6 or 12 month memberships don’t (because they’re heavily discounted).
We’ll do everything in our power to help and support you to succeed. The membership is a self-paced program, if you need personalised private coaching with Russ, or you’d like your work to be individually critiqued on a one-off basis, there are paid options available.
There is also the VIP Mentoring Program option, which is personalised coaching, working one to one with Russ throughout every aspect of your application journey.
